He is Coming, Are You Ready?

The trumpet shall sound; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. The saints, who are alive at the time, shall be caught up with the resurrected ones to meet the Lord in the air.

Whose side are you on? You need to decide before it is too late? No one knows the hour of death; neither do we know the hour of Jesus’ SECOND COMING. So be ready, for in such an hour as you think not, we may die, or the Saviour will appear. Remember, Jesus promised that He would return as a thief in the night, that is, unexpectedly!

The things of this world are only but for a moment. So why sell your soul for it? Would it not be better to search out the things of God and do His will? Are you not the reason why Jesus died? Is Jesus not returning for those who lived righteously? DID YOU KNOW that doing the will of God gives: joy, peace, happiness, and Eternal Life? Then, choose you this day who you will serve! Is it not better to choose the One who created and died for you?

Parents, Children, and God’s Law (Part 2)

Parents, before you can teach your children to obey the Law of the Lord with a perfect heart, you must first do His will. In other words you are to be an example to others. There needs to be a reformation in this respect in your home. This reformation needs to be deep and broad. Parents you need to reform; ministers you also need to reform; all need God in their household.

Prayer is neglected in too many homes. Parents feel that they have no time for morning and evening worship. Some parents cannot even spare a few moments giving thanks to God for His abundant mercies. Should one not give thanks for the sunshine and the showers of rain which cause vegetation to flourish, and for the guardianship of holy angels? We are to ask God for divine help, guidance, and for the abiding presence of Jesus in one’s household. Too many go forth to labour as the ox or the horse goes, without one thought of God or heaven.

Parents, are yours souls and the souls of your children precious? Have you considered that if a positive change is not brought about that your souls will be hopelessly lost? Why is it that so many seem to have forgotten what the Son of God did for humanity? Did He not give His life a ransom to save us from eternal ruin? Did you know that many have little more appreciation of Jesus’ great goodness than have the beasts that perish?

Parents, Children, and God’s Law (Part 1)

God’s Law is held in light esteem, even by religious leaders; and the result is the productivity of great evil. It is being taught that the Divine Statutes are no longer binding upon men and women. Those who seek to lessen the claims of God’s Holy Law are striking directly at the foundation of the government of families and nations.

How many parents or households are teaching their children to keep the way of the Lord? How many make the Law of God the rule of their lives? As young people, make homes of their own, they feel under no obligation to teach their children what they themselves have never been taught. Hence, the reason there are so many godless families in our society today; and this is why depravity is so deep and widespread.

Is there a need for homes to be reformed? Do we need God? Yes, we do! Think about breathing, for example. Every breath we take is from God, why, because He is the Life-Giver. When we die, the life within us returns to Him. So you can now see that death is not the end of human beings. We all shall rise again to stand before the throne of God (to give an account of the way we lived on the earth). It is then, and only then, shall death be complete for some of us because we lived only to please ourselves, without any thought for God or our eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

The word of God should be our counsellor; we should teach them to our children, letting them know that it is the voice of God addressed to them and is to be implicitly obeyed. Parent it is your duty to patiently instruct your children. You are to do so kindly and untiringly. Teach them how to live in order to please God. By so doing they will be prepared to meet the sophistries of infidelity. As a result they will have a foundation that cannot be swept away by the incoming tide of scepticism. Give to your children the word of God, the most precious gift of all gifts.

Awake, Awake, get Ready, before the Rocks Cry out!

Signs of the times are everywhere! For example: the economy, crimes, disasters, immorality, lawlessness, the poor getting poorer, the rich getting richer, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, and trouble on every hand. Before Jesus went back to heaven, he informed us that we would know how near we are to the end of the world, when we shall see the signs fulfilling. The warning signs are all written in the Holy Bible. Some have been mentioned above. These signs shall occur in quick succession.

Jesus further mentioned that if we did not watch for the signs, then, we would not be ready for translation or be received into glory. Instead, many will run to the rocks for shelter from Jesus’ view, but the rocks will be given power to speak; and they shall say, “I want a place to hide for myself! We are admonished to GET READY before it is too late. You see, wickedness, evil, suffering, and injustice, will not be permitted to continue much longer.

 Note that the world was destroyed by water before because of much wickedness. Years later Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed, again, due to their evil ways. The same wickedness and evil are prevalent in our world today. What does that tell us? It tells us that once again, our world is ripe for destruction; but before destruction comes, warning is first given. God at some point puts a check on sin and evil.  He is not only a God of love, but also a God of justice. But how can one get ready you may ask? First thing, start reading the word of God and you will see and know how to get ready to meet Jesus. Awake, Awake, get Ready, before the Rocks Cry Out!

Care for my body or I die

 Any habit which does not promote healthful action in the human system degrades the higher and nobler faculties. Wrong habits of eating and drinking lead to errors in thought and action. Indulgence of appetite strengthens the animal propensities, giving them the ascendancy over the mental and spiritual powers. Exercising temperance in all things is vital.

It is impossible for one to increase in spiritual strength while their appetite and passions are not under perfect control. The brain nerve energy is benumbed and almost paralyzed by over-eating. Did you know that the influence of meat is to excite and strengthen the lower passions and has a tendency to deaden the moral powers? The less feverish the diet, the more easily can the passions be controlled. You have a duty, that is, to care for and preserve in the best condition, your body; for the service and glory of God.

Health reform or degeneracy Part 2

 Did you know that God has been calling our attention to good health for centuries? Did you also know that health reform is one of the great branches of the work of preparation for the second coming of Christ? Therefore, should we continue neglecting or abusing our body? Self-denial, humility, and temperance are required to be in good health. Our self-destructive habits are often the reasons for poor health.

 As the hand is closely connected with the body, so health reform is closely connected. There is no where to be found so great a cause of physical and moral degeneracy as a neglect of this important subject. Those who indulge in appetite and passion often close their eyes to the light for fear that they will see their sinful indulgences which they are unwilling to forsake. Let us remember that our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.

Health reform and Christianity kiss each other

The law of the Ten Commandments of God has been lightly regarded by us. Breaking or ignoring them is not a good idea because we will reap what we have sown. Have you ever considered why disease floods our world? Have you thought about: what we do, how we behave, how we treat others, and our actions of immorality? Men and women cannot violate natural law by indulging depraved appetite and lustful passions, and not violate the law of God. 

In His mercy God has permitted the light of health reform to shine upon us, that we may see our ways and repent from doing what is wrong. Our enjoyment or suffering may be traced back to obedience or transgression of natural law. Our Heavenly Father sees our deplorable condition. He knows those who willingly violate His laws and those who do so ignorantly. Yet, He continues to shine upon us health reform. He also informs us of the penalty that will follow if we continue to transgression. Adam and Eve lost theirEdenhome because of appetite; but we through Christ can overcome appetite.

Doubts, destructive or a saviour

Why do we doubt? Doubt causes anguish to the soul. Yet, some doubts can save us from destruction and sorrows. For example, when we have doubts about something or a person it is often because we are being awaken to something that’s not quite right about them. People or things can be deceitful and having your doubts about them may be your protector. Yet, doubts can stop a person from making progress and suffer loss. One needs to check their doubts whether they are positive or negative.

There is one doubt, though, that we should not tolerate or encourage, that, doubts God and his love toward us. God love us more than we could ever imagine. So much so, that He gave us his most precious gift, Jesus Christ. He loves us much more that we love ourselves, partners, children, parents, or each other. Love comes from God, and if of God; then, God is the love Giver.

We are mortal and sinful beings and love is not part of sin but of righteousness and holiness; these two only comes from the Great I Am. The love which you feel in your heart toward those, whom you love, comes from above. The suffering which is in our world is created by us, yet, we blame God for our sufferings instead of blaming ourselves. Why do the innocent often suffer for the guilty?

Get the grease out!

Take care how you change from a meat diet to one without meat. While you change your habits of living, you need to be cautious. It is known that those who change from a meat diet often change to one that is impoverished. Their food is so poorly prepared that their stomach loathes it. As a result, many confess that a health reform diet does not agree with them and that they find themselves decreasing in physical strength.

When you prepare your meals, variation is required. Although, food should be prepared in a simple way, yet, it must taste nice to invite the appetite. You really should keep grease out of your food. Grease defiles any preparation of food you may make. Substitute for meat must be well prepared, so that meat will not be desired. Be sure to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. “Gone the days of Obesity,” will give more information on the above.

Deceived; but who?

Did you know that the end of the world will come when the word of God (the gospel of the kingdom) is preached in the entire world as a testimony to all nations?  Did you also know that before the end comes many false teachers will claim and has already claimed to be Christ, while others claim to be His prophets? These false Christ and prophets shall show great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect (believers), if that were possible. So if it is possible for the elect to be deceived were it not for God’s mercy toward them, where then, does it leave those who are not elect? 

However, the enemies of God have and shall continue to deceive those who have no interest in God and those who did not take the time to study the word of God for themselves, but rather, relied on others to teach or tell them and not knowing whether those things they have heard or taught are true or false.

Okay, so where do we go from here? Well, it will be quite beneficial to study God’s word (the Bible) for yourself. At least you will get to know who God is and how much He loves you. Further, you will discover more end time signs pointing to the nearness of Jesus’ second coming. Perhaps you could start by looking up the book of Matthew Chapter 24, in the New Testament of the Bible.
